PRANA ventilation systems are designed for long-term operation, and their main task is to ventilate the premises, which helps to create a comfortable microclimate.
Thousands of cubic meters of air pass through the recuperator every year. This load is a great test for any mechanical system. That is why it is important to ensure regular cleaning and professional service of the equipment, for the correct operation of the recuperator.
When is cleaning needed?
The efficiency of the PRANA recuperator in most cases depends on the state of contamination of the air distribution grilles, heat exchanger channels, or/and filter. The fan blades and the inside of the case are also dirty, so all these elements need to be cleaned.
The networks of the heat exchanger channels prevent dust, down, plant pollen, and animal hair from entering the room, so they are prone to contamination.
Clogged with dust and dirt, they interfere with the free movement of air in the recuperator, which significantly reduces the performance of the system and reduces the quality of indoor air.
To prevent such negative consequences, PRANA specialists recommend regular (1-2 times a year) cleaning of the recuperator. For rooms with a large number of air pollutants, for example, beauty salons, medical facilities or premises of the agricultural sector, we recommend cleaning 2 times a year.
Regular cleaning guarantees quality operation.
You can find disassembling instructions for the recuperator, in the technical documentation of the device. Experienced users can perform dry cleaning at home. However, if the contamination is significant and requires additional work, for example, the restoration of the heat exchanger – we advise you to entrust this important process to qualified specialists of the PRANA service center.
Recuperator service and repair
Was the recuperator installed 2-3 years ago?
Are there any changes in the system’s operation?
The recuperator has been operated for more than 2 years in specific conditions: beauty salon, industrial premises, swimming pool, car wash, kitchen, cafe, restaurant, service station and others?
Then, it’s time to check the condition of the heat exchanger, the serviceability of engines, control boards and other important components of equipment. In addition, there are a number of characteristic features, noticing which, you should contact the specialists of our service center as soon as possible:
- reduction of system productivity;
- no supply or exhaust (one of the engines does not work);
- violation of the integrity of the recuperator, mechanical damage;
- incorrect control of the system via remote control or mobile application;
- no display of sensor readings (if any);
- heating elements do not work;
- the recuperator is not switched on or the operating modes are not switched;
- control keys do not correspond to system functions.
Comprehensive service of the ventilation system consists of diagnostics, cleaning, replacement of defective components (fans, control board, sensors, electrical components, etc.).
As practice shows, regular cleaning and service significantly extend the life of the ventilation system. Most PRANA recuperators, installed 5, 8 and even 10 years ago, which passed the technical inspection and service on time, are still working properly.
