On May 14-16, the 33rd Meeting and Business Forum of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development took place in the capital of hospitable Armenia, Yerevan. This year, the event was held under the slogan: “Achieving results together”! PRANA’s professional team took an active part in various events of the business forum.
In particular, a significant event for our delegation was a meeting with the First Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Jurgen Rigterink. During the business breakfast we discussed with him the development opportunities and prospects of Ukrainian business. We are sincerely grateful to Jurgen Rigterink for his attention to the needs and problems of our business in the context of war, productive communication and real steps aimed at financial and advisory assistance to Ukrainian companies.
In addition, an important step towards scaling up and entering new markets was the signing of an agreement on PRANA’s entry into the EBRD Blue Ribbon program, which supports the development of companies in long-term goals and strategies. The main goal of the program is to support growing businesses and market leaders, develop the private sector, and help make it greener, more digital, and more inclusive. Entry into the program is possible only by invitation and exclusively for countries where EBRD initiatives are being implemented.
We are also proud that during the business forum, our team had the opportunity to participate in a strategic session dedicated to supporting Ukraine’s economy during the war. As part of the event, we met with Matteo Patrone, Vice President, Member of the EBRD Executive Board. We took part in a discussion of steps that can be taken by the Ukrainian government and business together with international partners, including the EBRD, to ensure Ukraine’s economic future despite the war. The participants outlined the necessary mobilization of funding and partnerships in key areas, from the energy sector to municipal infrastructure. They also discussed changes in the political sphere to prepare for Ukraine’s future accession to the EU.
We sincerely thank the organizers and participants of the business forum for their unquestioning support of Ukrainian business and real steps aimed at supporting the economy in these difficult times!
