Unfortunately, we cannot estimate the oxygen content in the air we breathe. However, we will immediately feel the consequences of its lack. Headache, suffocation, lethargy, feeling of constant fatigue… These are just a few symptoms that we breathe low-quality air.
Insufficient oxygen content or the presence of harmful impurities negatively affects not only well-being but also how effective a person’s activities will be during the day.

According to WHO statistics, more than 90% of the world’s population breathes polluted air. In the process of breathing, air enters the lungs, and then with the help of transportation by red blood cells, it is transferred to all organs, providing them with the necessary level of oxygen.
High-quality air is extremely essential for health, efficient cellular metabolism, and obtaining energy for a colorful, active life. This is proven by a huge number of scientific works devoted to the study of the influence of the environment on the human body.
For instance, not so long ago, Harvard University scientists conducted research in which they once again confirmed that insufficient ventilation can make a person sluggish and unproductive, and the air content in the office significantly affects employees’ intellect, reactions, and ability to concentrate.
302 office workers from six countries took part in the experiment and were carefully monitored by scientists for a year. The research ended in March 2020 due to the start of the coronavirus epidemic and the imposition of quarantine. An article with the results was published in the Environmental Research Letters magazine.
The essence of the experiment was that environmental sensors were installed at the workplaces of the participants, which monitored the content of small, dispersed particles in the air, the level of carbon dioxide, temperature, and relative humidity in real-time.
Indoor air is 5-10 times more polluted than outdoor air. It often contains a high concentration of chemical pollutants. Moreover, it is either too dry, with a humidity level below 30-40%, which leads to deterioration of the human respiratory system and air filtration by the lungs, drying of the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, and a reduced immunity; or too wet, which also has a bad effect on the body and contributes to the appearance of life-threatening fungus and mold. Also, due to high humidity, the return of heat through evaporation decreases.
In addition, modern offices are filled with electrical appliances that produce a large amount of positively charged ions, which also damages health. Particularly dangerous are the impurities of formaldehyde, resins, tobacco smoke, dust, and microparticles that are formed from synthetic materials: plastic fibers, asbestos, and various building materials.
The results of the study showed that an increase in the level of dispersed particles to 10 micrograms per cubic meter led to an increase in the time of passing special tests that assess the speed of working memory and cognitive activity of the brain.
That is why specialists in the field of climate equipment recommend installing mechanical ventilation systems in offices, for example, PRANA recuperators, awarded with numerous prestigious world awards.

Installation of a high-quality Ukrainian-made ventilation system will provide every employee of the company with a healthy microclimate, comfort, and excellent well-being, which will contribute to increasing the level of energy and daily productivity.
