Such large-scale ventilation projects in Ukraine are not common, so we appreciate each of them especially. In 2020 kindergarten No.8 in Melitopol received a new life after a major renovation and arrangement of a decentralized ventilation system.

Now it is the best kindergarten in the south of Ukraine! And everyone knows it under the name «Star».

This kindergarten is intended for 220 children. 10 groups, modern kitchen and dining room, cozy rooms for sleeping, spacious halls and sport areas create maximum comfort for kids and employees of the establishment.

High-quality air exchange is a key condition for a healthy microclimate for children. In order to ensure high air quality and eliminate draughts, cooling of rooms as a result of opening windows, and unnecessary expenditure of thermal energy, a modern ventilation system with heat recovery was installed in the renovation project.

47 PRANA recuperators work 24/7 to maintain an optimal balance of oxygen and keep the rooms in the kindergarten warm. This project uses 39 PRANA-150 recuperators, 6 PRANA-200G recuperators and 2 PRANA-200C recuperators. If we calculate the total air exchange of all these ventilation systems we will get up to 5780 m3/h for the inflow and up to 5285 m3/h for the exhaust. The total air exchange of such a decentralized system is more than 11000 m3 /h. This is sufficient to effectively replace exhaust air with fresh air for a large-scale facility.

The project to reconstruct kindergarten No. 8 in Melitopol was implemented with the support of the European Investment Bank. However, every kindergarten, school or institution of out-of-school education in Ukraine can make the first step to quality ventilation.
