- According to Carbon Brief, Ukraine is the 11th most CO2 emitting country in the world.
- According to the Climate Action Tracker, our country’s efforts are critically insufficient to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees Celsius.
- If all nations set goals like Ukraine’s, global temperatures would rise up to 4°C.
- The main difficulty for Ukraine to achieve carbon neutrality is the use of large amounts of coal.
It is not enough to expect change to preserve our country’s nature and fauna. We must be courageous, determined and proactive.
That is why today PRANA attended the UN summit COP26. The founders of the company, Dmitry Viktorovich Krotov and Roman Romanovich Kuzich, came to the event on a global scale.
Climate preservation is one of the values of our company. Therefore, we cannot but take an active position. Instead of watching the event from the sidelines, we are in the middle of it.
WHY does COP 26 matter?
Our planet matters. Global warming affects everyone. If it threatens the existence of glaciers and Pacific nations, then someday the consequences will affect us as well.
Massive changes cannot be made alone. It is important to listen to each other, to share experiences, to learn solutions that have already worked.
COP26 is the UN summit dedicated to climate change and considering its consequences and potential threats in the context of almost 200 countries from five continents. This is where you get the most profound understanding of the problem. It is possible to fulfill the task of global scale only by communicating with the world.
PRANA recuperators against CO2
One of the main problems of Ukraine in achieving carbon neutrality is its high use of coal. Therefore, heat saving and energy efficiency of buildings is very urgent. Providing them in every building is how we can help Ukraine get one step closer to carbon neutrality.
PRANA recuperators are designed to bring the freshest air into the room. However, by being a smart ventilation, the units can also:
- Prevent the emission of 1,134 kg of carbon dioxide per year;
- Reduce heat loss by 50%;
- reduce energy consumption;
- if there is an air conditioner in the room, it also saves coolness.
If there is a way to reduce carbon dioxide emissions with a minimum of effort, it would totally be PRANA recuperators.
