DUCTED ELECTRIC HEATERS

To heat incoming air to a comfortable temperature, PRANA offers electric duct heaters (heating elements) that integrate into the ventilation system. They ensure efficient operation even in harsh climate conditions, with temperatures ranging from -30°C to +50°C and humidity up to 80%.

Design and Materials

The heater consists of a durable stainless steel housing, with a junction box attached that includes cable glands for power, control, and grounding cables. Inside the housing are heating elements (TENs) responsible for the main function of the device.

For safe operation, each heater is equipped with two thermal cutoffs:

  • with automatic reset (+50°C) — activates in case of overheating;
  • with manual reset (+90°C) — blocks operation in case of airflow stoppage, featuring a RESET function.

These components protect against overheating and block the heater’s operation in case of malfunctions or low airflow. Connection is made through a circuit breaker and, depending on the model, to a single-phase or three-phase power network.

Model Range

PRANA offers four models of duct heaters:

H150241
Power

2.4 kW

Diameter

Ø158 mm

Phase

1 phase

Compatible Recuperator

PRANA 250

H150363
Power

3.6 kW

Diameter

Ø158 mm

Phase

3 phase

Compatible Recuperator

PRANA 250

H200403/H200603
Power

4.0 kW/6.0 kW

Diameter

Ø202 mm

Phase

3 phase

PRANA 340

The minimum allowable airflow ranges from 160 to 400 m³/h, depending on the model. Connection to the power supply is made through a circuit breaker, in accordance with the specified current.

Installation and Operation

Installation is possible in vertical or horizontal positions (but not with the junction box facing down). It is important to ensure:

  • the air duct diameter is no smaller than that of the heater;
  • a minimum distance of 0.5 m from other system components;
  • access to the RESET button for maintenance.
Reliability and Safety

The device has an IP40 protection rating, is not intended for standalone use, and must be connected to an automation system that controls fan operation and prevents overheating.
