March begins with good news: a working meeting of EBRD representatives and PRANA management took place!

A landmark international meeting was held on March 2, 2023 in the format of a round table. Present – PRANA co-owners Dmytro Krotov and Roman Kuzych, Deputy Director Ivan Starosta, as well as Jurgen Rigterink, First Vice President of the EBRD, Matteo Patrone, Director of the EBRD in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus and Deputy Director of the EBRD in Ukraine for Industrial Development, trade and agribusiness Lesya Kuzmenko discussed important organizational issues and outlined directions for future cooperation.

In addition, during the conversation, the attendees discussed the problems that concern most representatives of Ukrainian business during the war and outlined ways to solve them. The presence of Jürgen Rigterink, the first vice-president of the EBRD at the meeting shows how much importance the international organization attaches to cooperation with Ukrainian business, because with his assistance, a number of large-scale projects are already being implemented that have a great impact on the further development of Ukraine.

For example, the signing of the Memorandum on the modernization of geodata and the agreement to provide Ukraine with financing in the amount of NOK 2 billion ($182 million) for the purchase of natural gas during the winter, the creation of the Crisis Response Fund for the War in Ukraine, EBRD loans to Ukrenergo, etc.

In general, as of February 1, 2023, the total volume of reconstruction and development financing allocated to Ukraine by the European Bank is 17.97 billion euros within 524 projects. 11 joint projects with the EBRD with a total loan amount of EUR 2,364.0 million are at the stage of implementation.

During the meeting, Jürgen Rigterink noted that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, together with other international partners, also provides comprehensive support to Ukrainian entrepreneurs in a number of promising projects, one of which is cooperation with the PRANA company.

In the past, PRANA has already participated in the joint project “Climate Innovation Vouchers”. This initiative was implemented by Greencubator together with the EBRD as part of the Climate Technology Transfer and Finance Center (FINTECC) program supported by the European Union.

Participating in the program helped PRANA to expand the capabilities of recuperators with smart control functions. This provided additional comfort and safety to users of Ukrainian ventilation systems all over the world. After all, the new management capabilities made it possible to automatically select the operation mode of the installation depending on the air quality in the room, receive detailed statistics based on the results of the work, integrate with smart home systems, etc.

Currently, the company’s engineers are actively working on the development of the next updates, the implementation of which will allow offering customers additional opportunities that are unique in their segment.

The EBRD’s support to the manufacturer will accelerate the implementation of the planned projects and expand the opportunities for thorough research to develop new solutions in the future. This will allow us to continue to offer customers high-quality, ecological and safe ventilation systems adapted to strict international norms and standards, as well as to constantly expand the capabilities of the existing model range of recuperators.
